Syria
The war in Syria has continued for six years and killed hundreds of thousands of people. It has sparked a refugee crisis in neighbouring countries and Europe. The war is between the Syrian government forces of President Bashar Al-Assad and various rebel groups, some of whom were backed by the United States. Russia and Iran back Assad.
