Hello, young cat owners! Did you know that cats are a lot like your other human friends? They need time to get to know you before they want to play together.
Cats use smell to learn about the world around them. With permission from your parents, you can place a shirt that smells like you near your cat’s bed. This way, they can get used to your scent.
Cats, like people, have unique personalities. Some are cuddle bugs, while others prefer playing with toys like wands. And did you know that some cats just love to bask in the sun, watching the world go by from a cosy windowsill? Understanding your cat’s unique personality is part of the joy of owning a pet.
There are a few things cats usually dislike, too. Even though their fluffy tails look tempting to tug, cats don’t like that!
They may often roll over and seem to want belly rubs. But, this area is very sensitive because there are many important organs just under it.
As a responsible owner, if you notice a sudden change in your cat’s behaviour, they may be sick.
Building a strong bond with your cat takes time and patience. But with your understanding and care, you and your feline friend can become the best of pals.
