Have you ever imagined what you might grow up to be? Maybe your dream job is to fly to the moon, teach children to read or invent a robot that cleans your room. Finding your career passion is like a treasure hunt, and the map is inside you.
The secret is to look for two things: what you are good at and what you truly enjoy. When those two meet, magic happens.
Have a think. If you are not very good at maths, being an accountant might feel boring. If you are great at solving puzzles but hate sitting still, a desk job could make you miserable. But if you love animals and are good at being patient, maybe you could become a vet or a zookeeper.
Your dream job is where your skills and your joy shake hands.
Here is a bigger question: could your dream job also help the world? It doesn’t have to be huge.
A baker helps the world by making people happy with warm bread. A bus driver helps the world by getting kids safely to school. When your job gives you purpose – a feeling that you matter – you will wake up in a good mood every morning.

Here is the most important part. The world is changing faster than ever. Jobs that exist today might disappear tomorrow. New jobs we cannot even imagine will appear.
So how do you prepare? You focus on things that never go out of style.
Start building your social skills now. Learn to listen, share and work in a team. Build your emotional skills – learn to understand your own feelings and care about others’ feelings. Practise critical thinking by asking questions and solving problems in new ways.
And most of all, build strong character values like honesty, kindness, responsibility and perseverance. These are your everlasting tools. No robot can take them away. No new invention can make them useless.
Remember: the best preparation is not learning one specific skill. It is becoming a kind, thoughtful, brave and curious person. Start today. Help a classmate. Finish what you start. Ask “why” and “what if.”
Your dream job is out there, and you are already building the wings to fly towards it.
