On March 8, our school held a sports day for students in an outdoor playground. Parents were invited too. There were a lot of worries at first because it was drizzling. Luckily, the weather turned sunny, and the principal said that sports day could continue.
We had a fun interclass relay competition. Each class was divided into three teams: red, green and blue. The same-coloured team from each class raced against each other. Teammates had to work together to complete various tasks. The fastest team got the most points, and the team with the most won.

I was in Team Green. When it was not our turn to compete, we cheered on our classmates. They all did really well! Our parents were so busy taking photos of us.
My class came in second, and we got silver medals! Hooray! I had hoped to get silver because we won gold medals last year. We were all happy because we all understood it was not about winning but taking part.
I would like to thank our principal, teachers, and, of course, the janitors for making the sports day possible, as well as our parents, who always supported us. It was a very fun day, and I can’t wait for next year!
