Many people in Hong Kong have pets, such as dogs, cats, hamsters and even tortoises. Pets need our care, time and affection.
If you have a pet, feed them nutritious food and clean water, and take it to the vet regularly. Just like humans, pets need exercise. Make sure your furry friend gets enough playtime to keep them healthy and happy.
No matter how busy you are, spend time with your pet every day. Cuddle them, play with them or just talk to them. This will help them feel secure and cared for.
Tug toy
Materials:
-
an old T-shirt
-
scissors
Instructions:
-
Lay the T-shirt flat. Starting from the bottom and going to the top of the T-shirt, cut strips that are 5cm wide. Cut longer or shorter strips depending on how big you want the toy to be.
-
Once you’ve made at least eight strips, cut them off from the rest of the T-shirt.
-
Set aside two strips to tie the ends, and bunch together the rest of them.
-
Tie a strip around one end of the bunch.
-
Divide the bunch into three groups, so that you can braid them. To braid, take the strips on the right and cross them over the middle strips. Next, take the leftmost strips, and cross them over the middle ones. Repeat this until you have about 10cm left on the bunch.
-
Take the last strip you set aside in Step 3, and tie it around the bottom of the braided bunch.
-
After trimming the ends of the toy, it will be ready for playtime with your pet.
