Karisma Hari (aged 9), Kowloon Junior School

Saturn is the sixth planet from the sun, and it is a really fascinating place! Nobody has ever landed on Saturn before. Here are some fun facts about the planet.

Saturn is about 1.4402 billion km from the sun. This is one of the reasons why the planet is very cold. Its average surface temperature is -178 degrees Celsius.

Saturn’s diameter is 116,500 kilometres. This is 10 times the diameter of Earth, but Jupiter is even bigger. Saturn is also the flattest planet! It has 146 moons in its orbit, more than any other planet. It is also known for its many rings.

Alvina Hung Wan-ki (aged 7), St Paul’s Convent School (Primary Section)

My school is big. There are thirty classrooms and many special rooms. We can read books in the library and do artwork in the art room. In the maths room, we can do calculations. My favourite place at school is the open playground. I like it because we can run there.

I like my school very much. There are nice teachers and cheerful classmates! However, I want to add a pet room so we can bring our pets. I think it would be fun.

Over the summer, my parents and I went to Japan. It was really fun! Let me tell you more about my long and tiring trip.

I wore a kimono. I liked it very much! Then, we took photos at Osaka Castle. The souvenirs were fantastic! Next, we went to the zoo. It had so many animals, I couldn’t even count them all. The best part was the polar bear.

We also went on the Tombori River Cruise and learned the backstory of famous spots.

It was a memorable holiday. I wish I could go there again!
