Before humans existed, Penguin would soar, glide, sail, and dive around the globe.
On the other side of the world lived Eagle. He was shivering, shaking and jittering in the blizzard winds of the South Pole. He had flippers, so he couldn’t fly away. Day after day, he went fishing and swimming in ice-cold water.
“Oh, all I wish is just to have the wings of Penguin,” Eagle said.
Eagle was hungry, so he dove into the sea for a snack. When he got back on the ice, he found a surprise. It was Penguin.
“Hello, Penguin. May I have your wings and you take my flippers, please?” Eagle asked.
“Let me think about it,” Penguin said.
That night, Penguin thought about how Eagle was shivering, realising that he didn’t mind the cold.
The next day, Penguin returned, saying, “Yes, Eagle, we may change wings.”
“Thank you, Penguin! Thank you!” Eagle exclaimed.
Penguin dove into the sea. Because he helped a friend, the water didn’t feel cold!
From that day on, eagles soared and penguins swam.
