Once upon a time, there was a boy named James who had a magical pencil. Whatever he drew on paper with his pencil would appear in front of him in real life. The magical creations amazed James.
James had a little sister. One day, she found out about the magical pencil’s existence and that there was only one, which belonged to James.
The siblings began fighting, which shocked their mother. To her, it seemed they were fighting over an ordinary pencil. James’ sister grabbed the pencil out of his hand. Snap! The magical pencil broke into two.
This upset James’ mum. She grounded her children.
James did not want to upset his mother, so he tried to explain how special the pencil was to him and that it brought his art to life. But his mother ignored him and held on to the belief that it was just a pencil.
James desperately wanted his pencil back. He went searching for it and found it in his mother’s drawer. He thought he could not use it properly. Still, using one half, he tried his best to draw himself a new magical pencil.
It worked. He used it to show his mother how the pencil worked. She was amazed by what he created. With the new pencil in hand, he drew one more magical pencil for his little sister to have for herself.
