A kitten named Snowball walked into the garden. There’s so much to explore, she thought. Snowball’s owner, Crystal, had just brought her home from the pet shop.

Just as Snowball walked to the flower beds, a neighbour had taken her dog for a walk. The dog ran off to the flower beds and scared the little white kitten.

Snowball took a few steps backwards and went inside. She stayed in the house for the rest of the day until she heard a purr from the garden.

Snowball slowly walked outside and found a beautiful yellow kitten in the bushes.

“Hi,” Snowball greeted her.

“Hello, I’m Belle. My mother died when I was young, and I learned to take care of myself and other things by myself.”

Snowball asked, “Can you be my friend?”

“Of course!” replied Belle. And from that day on, the two friends played together and protected each other. Crystal even adopted Belle.
