Claire Cecelia Gillyon (aged 8), Kowloon Junior School

I am from New Zealand. I have been in Hong Kong for about a year and a half, and I love it! I like to eat bao, sushi and ramen. My favourite drink is hot chocolate because it tastes like Christmas.

My favourite thing to do in Hong Kong is go to Disneyland with my dad. We go on the teacups and the roller coaster in Grizzly Gulch. My favourite ride is the Star Wars one.

Sometimes, my mum and dad take me to the arcade. We play the coin toss because it’s the easiest game to win. I play the claw machines that have lots of Disney toys. My mum says I’m the Claw Machine Queen.

Eva Tam Yi-ting (aged 9), Cumberland Presbyterian Church Yao Dao Primary School

My favourite subjects are art and physical education (PE) because I like to draw people. I try my best to draw my friends. In PE, it is fun to play dodgeball together.

My hobby is chess and sometimes I win. It’s very fun to play with friends. I like birds because they can wiggle their tails and fly around. Also, their faces are so cute. I have a pet bird. Its name is Mango.

I have a father, a mother and a sister. Sometimes, my sister and I fight each other, but she is still my best friend. We play together, and when it’s bedtime, she tells me interesting stories.

Magnus Tsang Chun-him (aged 14), Tuen Mun Catholic Secondary School

During the summer holidays, I became obsessed with watching Detective Conan. It is a classic Japanese anime series, also known as Case Closed.

I was browsing online for something to watch because I was feeling bored. I stumbled upon Detective Conan and clicked on it. After watching just a few episodes, I found it unexpectedly entertaining.

Since then, I have become an enthusiastic fan of the series.
