Advice: My teachers judge our looks and scare us with random quizzes. They make my school life difficult

It is always stressful to be judged based on your looks or to be surprised with quizzes. However, the teachers may have reasons for doing so, like wanting to test how much people learn or stick to a strict dress code. It might be easier for you to accept what your teachers are doing if you know why they are doing it.

How do your friends feel about your teachers? They might see things differently. It is worth listening to their opinions. They could also give you the confidence to speak up.

If you feel you are being treated unfairly, tell your teachers how you feel. Do it respectfully. Ask for their understanding and support. If it is hard to speak to them directly, you can talk to school social workers or counsellors.

You should also talk to your parents. Tell them about your teachers and how being at school makes you feel. They can help you find a solution. They care about you and want you to be in a comfortable environment. You deserve to feel safe and accepted.

Talk it out

Have you ever felt like your teachers or parents were treating you unfairly? How could you tell them about your feelings and try to solve the problem?
