It is normal to want to keep friends happy, especially if they have helped you make other friends. But copying homework is wrong. It breaks the school rules and hurts everyone’s growth.
You can tell your classmate that many experienced teachers notice when students cheat. The best and safest way for both of you to learn is to do your work honestly.
Instead of letting your classmate copy your work, offer to explain the questions. You could say, “Do you want to study with me? I can share how I do the homework.”
This way, your classmate gets the help they need to understand the assignment.
If you follow what you believe is right, this can help others respect you. Even if some people stop spending time with you, true friends will support your values.
Don’t be afraid to talk about your feelings with friends, family or teachers you trust. They might have helpful ideas to make this situation better.
