Did you know bats are predators, pollinators and prey? This makes bats very important for Hong Kong’s ecosystem and food chains.
Bats are mosquito-eating machines. Many of them are insectivorous and can eat thousands of insects every night. Bats eat pests that eat plants and spread disease, so they help Hong Kong’s environment stay healthy and produce more food and plants.
I hope that Hong Kong can take care of its bat population so we can reduce the use of pesticides to control mosquitoes near children’s playgrounds.

On Sports Day, my friend Moses and I joined the jumping competition. Moses placed fourth, and I placed sixth.
Later, my friends Lotus, Nathan, Clovis, Quinion and I took part in the class competition, where I was the backup.
For the girls’ team, Tonya, Scarlet, Natalie, and Abby won third place together, while the boys’ team came in fourth.
After the events ended, my friend Hayden and I went to the nearest spaghetti restaurant. We enjoyed our meal, said goodbye, and went home happily. It was one of the most exciting days of my life.
